In case the music is too loud, or I enjoy the beer and wine too much, OR I have a senior moment... I wanted to thank and introduce everyone who is attending this weekends party to each other.
In no specific order, here are all of the attendees:
Paul and Sonya Camarco - are traveling in from Colorado. Paul and I met at my first real job working for Pacific Stereo in Citrus Heights - those were the days. When I dream of my wild side, I live those dreams through Paul. Too many funny stories to share but I was honored to be his best man in his wedding.
Mike Young and Laurie Kruger Hoppis - Mike is the son of my Mom's best friend Julie Young. We grew up together and shared many summers camping and getting into trouble. I am so glad that we are still friends today.
Mike and Denise Conyers - we have spent many years together and had great memories to share. I met Mike in my first job out of college and we have remained friends ever since. Mike and Denise also moved to Utah with me to work for Iomega, and have many unique stories about living in the great Salt Lake. Last, he is my only friend that has played me in John Madden Football for many years.
Dale Sprock, Susanne Harkness and Carson Sprock - Dale was my first boss out of college. More importantly he was a great mentor and friend. He has continued in those roles, now teaching me about fine wine and friendship. Susanne is his long standing sweetheart and partner in crime with us. Carson, in addition to being the man - and Dale's son, is helping us with the party.
Phil Perry and Jill Mellbye - back when I was a starving student I met Phil peddling VCR's. He went on to be named one of the 10 most influential people in California politics and I went on ... nevermind. Glad we are still friends even though he is a conservative!
Vic and Carolyn Gross - I met Vic while I was working for Best Buy. He was responsible for the retail channel for Western Digital and while we did our business, I discovered what a great person he was. We remained friends and now are vacationing in Italy together in late September.
Steve and Christi Feuerbach - we recently met at Logitech where Steve is responsible for our account at Digital River. We do our work stuff and enjoy time together at good restaurants and Giant's baseball games.
Jana Conley Brown - Jana is a good friend of Kari's, now me. They met during Kari's days at The Good Guys and have remained friends ever since.
June Nagy - June also is a good friend of Kari's, now me. She is in the process of moving from Ohio to California to pursue her dream of playing drums in a rock 'n' roll band.
Which leaves my family as the last to introduce: Father - Phil Binley, his wife Trudy Greenlaw, my Mom - Pat Binley, my brother - David Binley, and my family - Kari and Sam. Unfortunately Amanda is in Hawaii and Kurt is working so they could not attend.
Looking forward to a great time!
